Sharing the Love + Loving the Savings

I was responsible for launching and managing customer generated content (CGC) and #davidsbridal social sharing programs. Customer images from Instagram were a top clicked feature on the website product pages and galleries. Along with product reviews and stories, this authentic content helps shoppers see products styled in diverse ways and a range of sizes. The program significantly reduced our professional photo shoot and model costs by creating a variety of beautiful, sharable imagery. Website visitors who engaged with CGC had a 2X lift in conversion.

Shoppable Influencer Content

 David’s designed two custom wedding dress designs for former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nels Peters’ wedding to NFL star Tim Tebow. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful David’s dresses and after the wedding The Demi Dress was made available for brides to make it their own. The web content and merchandising teams created shoppable product galleries featuring the dresses with coordinating accessories to get the total look for less. The campaign was a great success across KPIs including PR impressions, brand elevation, organic social, revenue and return on investment.

Pinterest Collab

  David’s partnered with Pinterest to bring brides a totally new way to create wedding inspiration boards. The collab encouraged newly engaged customers to start their planning journey on the uniquely visual platform while positioning David’s as trusted a source of style and innovation. The “Be Your Own Bride” campaign celebrated empowerment and authenticity. An engaging quiz made it easy to discover all the dreamy details of your ideal wedding and create mood boards in minutes. Fun + Function with Facebook

In response to the increasing use of mobile and social media to plan and share experiences, my team developed and launched My Event, the first app of its kind using Facebook API. Designed to make wedding planning fun, simple and stress free, the digital tools allowed customers to invite friends to private virtual showrooms and mood boards, assign tasks and collaborate to create their dream wedding. The innovative shopping tools redefined the category and produced significant lifts in traffic, engagement and sales.

David’s Bridal is the number one bridal and special occasion retailer in the U.S. The website supports hundreds of stores and helps millions of customers get inspired before they purchase. The website infrastructure had become outdated, requiring technical coders and long timeframes to update. Leveraging detailed data and customer journey insights, we collaborated to build a mobile first design that improved UX, conversion and AOV. The new system featured Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), enabling the entire team to make real-time edits, easily pivoting and optimizing to drive e-commerce and store appointments.

This transparency and accountability led to faster than ever identification and resolution of pain points, better response time for customers, and overall improved user experience, increasing our NPS score by 14 points.

When the pandemic hit, David’s worked quickly and cross functionally to update messaging on the website, email and social platforms to reassure customers that they would get their orders (they all did). We arranged safe pickups and deliveries as well as launching tools for current and new customers including a conversational AI chatbot and virtual video shopping to help customers and store stylists stay connected. Zoey, the chat tool, improved customer service wait times and satisfaction, creating a 700% increase in sales on messaging in just two weeks.

Wedded to the Brand + Beyond

David’s launched a dynamic loyalty program that grew to 1 million customers in the first year, surpassing the target goal. Brides earned points toward a free honeymoon and shared discounts with their bridal party, generating excitement among family and friends, and generating +50% increase in AOV.  The program also expanded the brand’s reach beyond weddings, increasing awareness and sales for special occasion dressing.

Home Decor + Small Business Support

Some of my favorite projects are focused on creating a home filled with comfortable spaces and all the things that bring joy and tranquility. I directed Terra Earth + Surf, a small beach town business, to launch an ecommerce website and social channels to promote their event space and natural home furnishings store featuring handcrafted products designed by small batch artisans. This is my happy place.

I had so much fun creating blog content and social posts, assisting photo shoot styling, writing and editing product descriptions, celebrating artists, and contributing content for their catalogs and website.

Learning to knit with friends was a delightful experience in a warm and inviting space, while supporting a lovely multigenerational family alpaca farm. Located in Monmouth County, NJ just moments from the ocean, this working farm and farm store will surprise and delight visitors whether they want to learn fiber arts, find unique handmade knits or just tour the farm and feed adorable alpacas.
